Dr. Nomathemba Themba is an accomplished Non-Executive Director and seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in environmental science, sustainability, and governance. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Science, a Master of Science, and an Honours degree, and has a proven track record in strategic leadership, policy development, and driving impactful environmental and social initiatives.
Themba previously served as the Managing Director of Enhle Consultancy, a safety and environmental consulting firm she founded and successfully led, as well as Managing Director of Ntate Aviation and Security, a training company specializing in aviation training and consulting. She has also served on the advisory board for Vaal University of Technology and held various management and executive positions across industries, including steel manufacturing, aviation, and waste treatment facilities.
As the current Editor-in-Chief of the Global Journal of Environmental and Sustainability Sciences (GJESS), Nomathemba oversees business development, sustainability initiatives, and funding acquisition while championing groundbreaking research in sustainability and environmental science. This role further solidifies her reputation as a thought leader in the field.
